How best to use this site

Mother Angelica often refers to sacramentals; like statues and holy cards; as "holy reminders."  It is in that same spirit that this site is best used.

Step 1 - Planning

Like any good trip your Pilgrimage requires planning.  The first step is to plan your itenary.  The 'road map' for this journey is Incarnationis Mysterium.  If you have not read it, stop right now and do so.  Then map out the things you want to accomplish on your pilgrimage based on the Papal document.  It is advisable to consult a good Spiritual Advisor about your plans.

Step 2 - Ordering your Tickets

Confession and the Eucharist.  These are your tickets for the journey.  Don't leave home without them.

Step 3 - On the Road

Armed with the Sacraments, we're ready to roll.  Visit a place "designated by the Ordinary" or "visit for a suitable time (their) brothers and sisters in need or in difficulty".  Don't forget to take time to pray along the way.

Step 4 - The Journey Home

On our way home we can pause to remember the places we've been and the things we've seen.  Use the Online Pilgrimages to fulfill the final requirement: prayer for the Holy Father (it would be a good idea to include your Ordinary; parish priests and religious as well.)  Choose your favorite form of prayer, Rosary; Chaplet of Devine Mercy; etc... Then pick a pilgrimage site.  As you pray, use the scenes to enhance your prayers as you would other sacramentals.
